Visitation Policy

We strongly urge you to visit our facilities to meet us and our dogs. You will have lots of questions that we will strive to answer, and we would like to meet you. However, while we urge you to visit, please remember that we are a small, home-based kennel. My husband Dave and I run a busy farming enterprise. We are also very busy with our church and young people, so our days are often far too busy. While we live in the country and have a garden-like setting, we are not a petting zoo or park. We need to keep all visits to a punctual, business timeline. We suggest an hour and a half is plenty of time for you to meet the dogs, visit our facilities and ask questions.

Health and Safety Policy

It is our responsibility to keep our dogs healthy and safe. One of the biggest dangers we face with puppies is contracting the Parvo virus. This is something you would not even know you are carrying. It is for this reason we schedule our visiting times carefully. We always adhere to the following procedures:

We are aware that these requirements may seem "over-the-top," and possibly paranoid, but remember, families have already put down payments on their puppies. It is our responsibility to keep them healthy.

Certification and Application Process

We take great care to breed healthy and well-adjusted puppies. We are committed to certifying all breeding adults. If they do not pass a certification, we will excuse them from our program. It is very important to us that our puppies find their forever home, so for that reason, we screen all new families requesting one of our pups. We require the following application to be filled and sent in, as well as a phone consultation, before anyone is added to our waiting list. We require a $500.00 deposit for adoption. This may be a certified cheque, money order, or by e-transfer. All deposits are non-refundable and will be applied towards the total purchase price of your puppy. The remaining balance is due at eight (8) weeks, when you come to choose your puppy. We do not take deposits until the puppies have arrived. This way I know for sure I have a puppy for you. I will call/email you to let you know the pups have arrived. It is at that time a deposit of $500.00 is required immediately. All deposits are non-refundable and applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy. The remaining balance is due the day you arrive to choose and take home your puppy. Payments may be made using e-transfer, cash or certified cheque. Once we have received your application form, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your application and provide details about upcoming litters.

If the litter you have chosen a puppy from does not produce enough female/male puppies, or for some reason only known to nature the breeding is not successful, your deposit will be placed on another breeding of your choice. Please do not send in your deposit until we have had a chance to speak with you.

Application Overview

This application is used for our records, and to assist us in determining if one of your pups is right for your home. For instance, if you are looking for a twenty (20) pound dog and our pups are all going to grow into fifty (50) pound dogs, then we are not the right breeder for you. We would be happy to direct you to another highly respected breeder, who would have what you are looking for.

To make an informed decision for both you and the pup, it is important that you are as accurate as possible when filling out the application. Don't worry, I am not seeking to trick you or "fail" you! I am seeking to gain as much knowledge about you as possible, to assist you in your choice and in the successful training of the pup. So relax and fill it in honestly!

If you have never had a puppy before, we are more than happy to help you through your first experience. If you do not have a fenced-in yard, we can discuss alternatives you can use to help keep your puppy safe. This application is a tool to inform us on how to assist you in becoming a confident, competent new puppy owner.
